Northwest Island

Just returned from 14 days on NW island and it's gotta be one of the most beautiful places in Oz.Just a mere 75 km. offshore from Gladstone, out near Heron Is. but with no amenities other than a drop loo. It's a coral atoll not a rock island and has thousands of sea birds in residence and the turtles were in laying mode whilst we were there, unfortunately the fishing was a little less than ordinary due to the weather not letting us get out as often as we wanted

A real small island Di-n-Gary. Sounds interesting. Any chance of it going completely underwater.
Sounds really pretty.

It's only a lowish coral island so maybe possible during a big cyclone, there was evidence of one from last year with a lot of trees down, the sooty terns would get a bit upset
