Thanks. IMG_5803.JPG An interesting "shop" museum. We have been here a couple of times and have a devonshire tea with the elderly ladies who volunteer and we have a good yarn.  The museum had been expanded to not only the shop but the residence behind it.  Cheers.

The town is Tinga in NSW. I think I posted a similar photo some years ago.

Might I say it is good to see a photo that is easily recognised by someone who has been there. Often posted photos have little to distinguish there location.

I do not do google searches if i don't recognise a location.

Hi Brenda and Alan,

The town is Tingha. Not that far from Inverell in NSW for those who don't know it. I like to recognise a photo too and the previous one of the Topic of Capricorn at Longreach was a place I'd been to.
I do, do google search if I don't know it, but I prefer to let it to people to recognise the photo because they've been there.

Anyways, over to you Brenda and Alan. Cheers.

No one having a guess.

It is the former Olympia Theatre in Bombala. Nice caravan park with a river walk, even seen platypus just out the back of the park.

By the trees it looks like the High Country, but I'm not really familiar with that part of the country.

Keep providing clues until someone guesses the answer.

Isn't that what it is all about?

Pick this place, a town where I am currently camping.

To help you along, it is in the Mallee District with a lake close by.

Spot on Radar, Hopetoun it is.

Lake Laschelles has both free (your choice of donation) and powered/water hookup sites for $30day (less weekly).

Hopetoun has a Servo, IGA, Bakery, Butcher, Cafe/Take Away, Pub, CBA, Hardware, Newsagency/Lotto.

The lake is always at 100% capacity.

Over to you Radar.

Thank you Dick O

We were there about 2020 and was reminding myself about the camping situation, I pulled up google maps for Hopetoun and there was a street view. Amazing reminder.

Sorry about it laying on it side.

A great river side Free camp on the edge of this cotton town.

My Brother in law in 1969 to 1971 went around western NSW digging the holes for these communication towers at Post Offices. Good way of making a living back then.

Hi Radar. It kind of looked familiar, so gave it some thought. We have been there a couple of times. Warren in NSW. The first time was back in September 2022 followed by going through there again in June 2023. In 2022 was when there was a lot of flooding in NSW and the camp area by the river was under water. The second time we were able to follow the river drive from Narromine to there, then head across to Collie. Remember seeing lots of cotton bales. Cheers.
