I recognised, in the background, what appeared to be the cranes at Fisherman's Island.

So I think the location is at Shorncliffe, Qld, near Baxters Jetty. We went for a walk there, a couple of months ago.

Very good, right on the money for fish and chips. Great spot to relax.

We had a few ocean swimming pool photos not long ago.

Nope, I not.

The ocean swimming pools bring back great memories for me, I learn at very young age to swim in the one at The Entrance, in my teens I was still competing (just a swimmer)

Then in my late teens swam socially with friends after work at Bronte a Sydney suburb.

Had splash at Blackhead, one Newcastle, Yamba, in time, I could think of more.

Most are in NSW, I googled a couple of states once and did not find any ocean pools, Queensland has wooden fence style.

As I say interesting.

I don't know this one.

Certainly NSW previously had an edict for building ocean swim pools of some form at many locations along its coast. My observations also, that not very often in others states.

Anyway, a hint, if you wanted to swim in the picture's pool, you had to be south of Bronte.

JeffRae, you are correct Ross Jones Rockpool at Coogee Beach. On the southern end.

Any ocean pools in WA?

Where are we going with you?

No ocean pools over here that I am aware of. There are a few nice rock pools at Bunbury back beach.

Where is this building located?

My first thoughts when I open your photo was Eucla WA but it was 40 years ago and I was not on a tourist drive with a load of frozen product to Perth from Sydney, not having the time look about or snap a photo.

Eucla WA.

i have read a fair bit about over that way and nearly every story shows a photo of a building being invaded by drifting sand drift.

Where are we now?

Have a lot of cemetery photos, but not this one. By the looks of the mullock heaps, perhaps an opal mining area. Will try Cooper Pedy.
