Thank you Sandman55.

I hope you all find this one of interest.

Google was not a lot of help and the bridge name is probably not what you find on google.

It is near a freedom camp and possibly trout fishing.

Enjoy, we enjoyed the drive for day out.20200312_221601.jpg

If you are interested in a little history and how the bridge got it's name just google "Where is the Sgt Andrew Russell Bridge".

Thanks Radar I have been to Tamworth and passed through some of the country but I had to use Google and Google maps to get the answer. Can you tell me the town nearby this pic and you score an extra point if you can tell me how the town got it's name.

Thanks Gaylehere that is an interesting and sad article here is the link if anyone is interested https://www.defence.gov.au/vale/SgtRussell/

Thank you Gaylehere for the link to answer my question.

I spent a good hour reading and asking google questions about the bridge but once again did not ask the right question.

Thank you, Ralph.

Sandman hi

No google this time for me, the memories of our 2008 Eyre Peninsula SA annual work holidays come flooding back.

Sculptures on the Cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Elliston, Eyre Peninsula SA.

You've got it Ralph and if you got who the town was named after you would have got an extra point biggrin Over to you. It is believed the the Town of Elliston was named after Ellen Liston a school teacher and governess on a nearby station here is a link about her you will have to copy and paste it into the URL at the top as I can't seem to make links active on this forum, the little link icon is always greyed out.

I have got the grey matter working.

The buildings is near a low cost camp  about 20 k's of a major highway.

Serves good meal, sometimes runs out of the product it suppose sell and has made indirectly a lot of money for a couple of singers who now do not get a cent from its misfortunes.

And yes, it's in NSW.

Hi Bill B

It's a long time since I drove though this aviation town and with Google help, I was very surprised by how this rural town had grown in last 35 years and one town for its air show that has been on our bucket list.

Temora NSW.
