My other choice was Stawell Bushland Reserve so will go with that this time.
No third choice
Your guess is 21 klms from said Lake whereas Bob's guess was 14 klms away, according to Google maps.
There is a caravan park adjacent to the Lake in question.

''''and what a lovely Roman Catholic Church it is too Gaylehere. I had the pleasure a few moons ago to enjoy the beautiful sight.
As I was standing there admiring the roof I instantly could hear Charlton Heston up on the scaffold many years ago in the Sistine Chapel replying to Rex Harrison below "Soon, it will be finished soon". Of course it took years to finish as did this masterpiece by Italian artist Francesco Floreani, started in 1931.
Did you know that approximately 80,000 people visit this church from here and over seas every year.
Take it away Gaylehere.

Thanks Dougwe. Knew your photo as we've been inside that church for a look some moons ago now and it was just wow, hadn't seen anything like it before.. 2013 if I remember correctly. This photo was taken last year. Where would I find this plaque and post? What is it all about?
Yes Bill B, you know perfectly well there's a great camp spot there. We talked about it on this forum not that long ago. I've read they're going to paint the silos soon too. Then that'll be another lot for the silo art lovers to go see. Now you just need to name the place and what is it?
Congratulations Bill B. Yelarbon it is. The monument and post are on the other side of the railway line. I've had a look at a town map and think it could be in Railway Parade. I did washing when we stayed at the rec ground and inside the laundry there's a small library and there's a sheet of information on the town and the monument and post was written up on that otherwise we wouldn't have known about it either. Okay, so over to you. Cheers.
Thanks Bill. I had breaky at that table in the middle of the pick back in 2013. A nice donation camp for the night. I have stayed there a couple of times.
OK then, staying on the theme of Donation Camps, where is this one? This pic was taken in 2014.

The reason I said the photo was taken in 2014 is it was a donation camp then, although a lot of people used it as a free camp. For that reason it is now a small charged camp. I think a ranger comes around to collect fee.
Not far south on the Bruce is Waverley Creek Rest area that is a good spot as well. I use both.
