Well done Sheba,
Kings beach has been overhauled over the last few years, not sure if that is still there now, only live a few minutes from there and haven't been down to Kings for years now, the Pavilion was well know for "Undesirables" to hang around in ?? if you know what I mean.

Thanks Dave. When I was a teenager, it was the Life-savers shed as well. And New Years Eve was when the Pipers played just to the right of the Pavillion [if you were facing the Ocean.] on the grass, just at the beginning of the beach.
Hi Doug, sorry but me tinks you are traversing the Wisemans Ferry at Kuringai maybe. I have been on it a few times when heading up the old highway many years ago. Gwynnie

Sorry for the delay Doug, I went to Night Owls Bowls yesterday evening.
In days gone by when coming through Kuringai Range (which is now the old Hume Highway) Wisemans Ferry was the only way through it! The Old Hume Highway twists and turns and is very narrow road and not very suitable for caravans so not readily used very much nowadays.
Does anyone recognise the water crossing below and can name its location? Gwynnie
Now, that looks like you might be 'crossing over'.
From the good ship 'Spirit', that is. Tassie side. A couple of things in the pic are throwing me a little but hey, it's early still and I haven't had breaky yet.

Hi Gwynnie
I must correct you. Not the Hume Highway as it ran from Sydney to Melbourne but the Old Northern Road to Hunter Valley though the outer western suburbs, Castle Hill to Wiseman Ferry
I have driven this road with several cars, trucks then a lot of times to many to count with semi trailers.
Just for good measure I will make a point of doing it with my caravan set up for old time sake in couple of months when I head south from Brisbane.
Thanks Radar, I stand corrected I must have been using a different road when I was heading into Penrith by the back road.... But I am still sticking my neck out AGAIN and ask you Doug, if you are at a little lookout near Skennars Head just a little south of Lennox Heads maybe? I seem to remember the rock formations and the Parndanus tree in the photo? Gwynnie
