Thanks Sheba, many moons ago we lived in Townsville and took the kids for a three day holiday snorkeling trip during the school break and recognised the Island immediately!!
Now for a different camping holiday. I stayed at this free Bush camp next to a dam only last year. The camp has a great yabbie population and has the same name as the Dam it was named after. So who can name this campsite? Thinking the Camp 8 book ( or equivalent) and you'll find it. More hints as we go..... Gwynnie
Hi guys, 'cause things have slowed down somewhat I will add some more information & photos from differing angles. Some comments noted: (quote) "Camped overnight at this place as part of the Golden West Discovery tour and was amazed at the size and beauty of the place in remote outback WA."( unquote ) Gwynnie

Hi Bluecat, getting late so I will place one last photo up for grabs. What location would you find this formation and what purpose does the rock wall serve? Gwynnie
Good morning guys, both right in being in WA but it is in the Shire of Yilgarn......
Reglynn- not at Merredin, you need to travel further North/East by 163 km and it is a water catchment.
Dunmowin, it is not at Kokerbin you also need to travel further North/East by 251 kms to reach this site. There is a free camp at this site too. Gwynnie
