Yesssssssss ....it does contain the height of the sea water. Hint: I have walked across it only recently and I am living across 'the back passage to KI. at this time.
Ask Mr. Google....It makes the coming and going of marine vehicles easier & is a safe harbour to hid away in inclement weather! Now you may know its use...all that is left is to give it a name and find its location?? Gwynnie
Sorry amigo, it is the school holidays over here and I have been on Nonna duties taking the 'grands' to the movies to see 'Small Foot' yesterday arvo and we had face aches from laughing so hard...PS. the tall building in the background should be a dead giveaway for those who have been there/ here!
HINT:The City to Bay race is held here every year. Gwynnie

most costal cities/towns have city to bay races, so that hint does not help me much. Looking at the previous clues, wondering if you might be at Goolwa, and that your structure is something to do with keeping out the salt water from the fresh water of the Murray River System.

Congratulations Sandy, yes your guess is totally correct correct, it is the loch that controls the yachts in the Glenelg safe harbour. The sculpture was only there for those to look past onto the beachside apartments to the right of the picture (see new photo) Where to now Sandy?? Gwynnie
Not entirely sure, think I have been here, but of course they all seem to look the same after a while. But the white jetty looks familiar. Could it be the Tweed Heads sandbar maybe? Gwynnie

Hi Gwynnie I was looking for Coolangatta but when you look at the towns they are so close together it is 6 of one or half a dozen of the other. I'm standing on Duranbah beach and I think you are closer than my assessment. Over to you for a pic.

Thanks Sandy, I guess it all depends on which side of the border you are standing at the time whether it is south looking north or visa versa hey! On the same beach theme, which well visited beach am I looking towards here? Gwynnie
Hi Dunmowin, sorry but if you were heading west along the Great Ocean road and came to the Bay of Islands you have travelled past this coastal walk. HINT: The walk towards this location is quite popular, with (3 ) walking tracks to take of which this beach is only one of them, also it is part of the Port Campbell National Park. Gwynnie

HI everyone, you're all getting warmer. Doug you need to drive about another 5 or so kms up the road heading west on the coast. It is at a walk to the edge. HINT: you're very close to the walk sign that says...Sher...(Something)...River Beach at Lock Ard. There is an arrow pointing to the location. If you have reached the signage I took my photo (not the one below) straight across to my right.

Well...seems everyone is stumped by my last photo. Given that my last hint was a photo taken directly off the 'Google Image' site, I am at a loss to understand why it still remains a mystery.
LAST HINT: Ask Dr. Google images where this sight is and it will provide you the direct link to this location. (3 initials S.R.B.) A very spectacular and all inspiring easy cliff face walk that I would highly recommend anyone to take the time and do. Good luck. Gwynnie

I personnally only try to answer a question if I know the answer or have some thoughts on the answer, The Great Ocean Road we have done a couple of times now and my happy snaps are sort of similar but really not the some, for actual place names don't have a clue. Really enjoy looking just the same.
I don't like using Dr Google photos as it is sort of cheating.
I thought I was clued up all through the GOR. My last choice will be, Sherbrook River lookout. I say that as it is around 5km from my last choice.
The thing is apart from some of the easy ones, we haven't all been everywhere and we might remember a place but have no idea of a name so if we don't use google the game would come to a standstill.

Thanks again to everyone who participated. The game is not just about recognising the photo, but as Sandy says, we have not all been everywhere and may need help keeping the game going forward. So honing oness' Google research skills takes time and effort and not being dishonest, as some may expect.
Initially always putting up photos that I have personally taken remains my objective. As for the last photo (directly taken off the location google site) it was an unmissable giveaway hint as the game had stalled, my reasoning was to keep the game moving.
Doug, well done you are correct, it is indeed the 'Sherbrooke River Beach' and a beautiful spot it is too. Where to now? Gwynnie

I noticed Brenda and Alan had trouble seeing photo's here so I thought I would check, yep I had a Widows 10 update this morning and yep I have same problem so have re-posted my last pic to see if that works OK. So, here 'tis,
Nope, didn't work. Bloody Windows 10 causing yet another problem. Bugga.

I suspect this is a win 10 update problem ,but with the server that runs this forum. I could view Doug's pic last night, but not this morning. My win 10 computer did an update this morning without notification {I am on metered data } and lots of things no longer function as they should. Things such as items that open with google are now assigned to "ms edge" which i no longer have on my computer as it is too intrusive. Using an older win7 computer unaffected by win10 problems still can't open pics on this forum.
