Following on from Dianne who said it was in Myrtleford. My research agrees and the sculptures are in the Memorial park which was created to honour the migrant families who played a vital role in the development of the region between the 1930's - 1960's and the PIZZINI brothers farm were instrumental in growing and drying in a log kiln of the Tobacco. That is all I know about this topic. Gwynnie

Dianne, you are correct, the statue is in Myrtleford.
Gwynnie, you are correct with their story.
So, even though Dianne got the place correct, my question was where and story. That make it hard. I give it to you both, Dianne, for being first in with the location and Gwynnie with their story. Who ever wants to post next, please be my guest.

I have a vague recollection that you visited Kangaroo Island a while back but why they would make sticks like that for burning I don't know your first pic says "strange bonfires"

Yes, I am house sitting here until early December, these strange stick plies are scattered throughout Kangaroo Island, including Kingscote, my photo was taken at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. I thought someone out there may know more about them. Have not found out the significance of these unusual stick formations or why they are so prevalent on Kangaroo Island. My guess is they are man made art forms as the trees over here have a very artistic features Sooooo... YES Sandy you're close enough, so over to you to choose the next photo! Gwynnie

Thanks Reg, I definitely believe in sharing the love of the game too! Just wish we could get more 'Grey Nomads' interested in showing some of their great photos to guess as well! Which town has this safe swimming pool for it's locals and visitors alike to cool off in?? Gwynnie
I think I have seen this here before and I think that is the Whitsundays in the back ground and it is obviously a stinger swimming enclosure but I have googled with no success
