this is our one.  did put up a photo from this area once before, took a lot of hints before someone guessed it. We have great memories of our short time in Yowah and would like to return to the area. John thank you the reminder. 20150614_123909.jpg

Hi Explorer Mike, Thought if you were first on after I posted this you would know. Yes, did a day drive out to Crows Nest via a couple back roads, then across to Goombungee and to Kulpi pub for lunch (we just happened to be in that area around then), then took another look at the Canberra Bomber at Brymaroo before heading home via Oakey. Australia Day it was. There is plenty to see in this neck of the woods and by taking back roads you see places differently than by going along the main highways. Anyway, over to you now Mike. Cheers.

Tanks Gayle, Was out there two weeks ago had been at Bowenville taking some pictures & called into Oakey for brunch on the way home.

Anyhow what would be the name of the lookout be that I took this picture from?

OK..Did you take the ARKABA scenic 3 day Safari flight which takes in Lake Torrens, Kati Thanda in Lake Eyre and the Flinders Ranges and Wilpena Pound and much much more??  There seems to be an aerial photograph and a fair wack of salt pans in the distance.  Gwynnie  floating.gif

Not aerial photograph taken from a lookout.

Maybe if we walk around the lookout a bit.

Didn't recognize it from the first photo but when you put up the second one it fell into place. A great lookout to sit and watch the sun set from.

This N.P. has controlled access via a locked gate. (to keep visitor numbers down). When I last visited in 2010 was 4WD only.
