We were there about 2020 and was reminding myself about the camping situation, I pulled up google maps for Hopetoun and there was a street view. Amazing reminder.
Sorry about it laying on it side.
A great river side Free camp on the edge of this cotton town.
My Brother in law in 1969 to 1971 went around western NSW digging the holes for these communication towers at Post Offices. Good way of making a living back then.

Hi Radar. It kind of looked familiar, so gave it some thought. We have been there a couple of times. Warren in NSW. The first time was back in September 2022 followed by going through there again in June 2023. In 2022 was when there was a lot of flooding in NSW and the camp area by the river was under water. The second time we were able to follow the river drive from Narromine to there, then head across to Collie. Remember seeing lots of cotton bales. Cheers.
No takers - Lake Tyrrell near Sea Lake. We were there on a wet windy day. No lying back looking at the sky for us though. It's an interesting place to visit. Cheers.
Lucky you Dick0 to sit and star gaze. We went to Lake Tyrrell on the same trip as Woomelang. Did most of the Victorian painted silos that trip, but there has been more painted since then. Walpeup was being painted and we sat and watched them work for quite awhile. Rainbow is supposed to be painted this year. Anyways, I'd better find a photo or three. Okay, I am looking for the name of the place and in which town. To me, a must see, if you are ever passing this way. Cheers.
