RE: PICK THIS PLACE

Not any of those nearby lakes but is 8 metres below sea level.

Coober Pedy was fairly close at around 320 kilometres, East and 1 square South to this regular South viewing spot.

The day we were there in early July, the car park had up to 18 cars in it one time, we were amazed at the traffic in this remote spot.

Hi Bill B.

I do not think we have been there but I am sure it has been shown in a few camping mags as 1 of there to ten camps site.

Central Nth Queenland.

I always in my mind wonder what people do with their grey water when parked so close to the water course.

I will go and do some home maintance now for thinking like that.

You are correct Relax-in.

Picture was taken back in April 2013.

When at Julia Creek in August last year we stopped at CP in town.

Free camp was a dust bowl.

Tanks Bill.

Twas a bit dry and dusty when we were there also. So much so that we were even informed that we were allowed to run our grey water onto the trees.

Quite amazed by this, as it was not long after we found out a small c/van was refused for 1 night as he did have an onboard toilet but did not have an onboard shower.

I think that is wrong. A can of worms for another day!

Anyway, where are we now?

I know where it is, but will leave it for someone else to have a go.

Took pictures of the water tower last July, whilst stopping overnight at the showgrounds.

 Hi Dunmowin,

I reckon your waiting at the hotel for a stage coach, it will be along shortly, while waiting put a new photo.

Yes it is Hungerford QLD on the NSW border best part about the place is there a big fence and gate to keep unwanted southerns out or stop the Queenslanders escaping.
