We are currently taking a break at the Culcairn Caravan Park and we would like to recommend it to other GNs who are looking for a nice quiet, cheap park in a small town that has most of what you need. A great place to spend a week 'resting'.
The park is in South Street right on the Billabong Creek. There are a couple of sites on South Street itself which is where we are set up. But the street is very quiet. The majority of the park is on the large flat space right on the creek with grass sites and trees for shade just below South Street.
$15/night for two (power & water) - and discounts apply if you stay longer ($75 for our 6 nights). Amenities are OK - showers, toilets & Laundry - like me, getting on a bit but still pretty good.
The town has a heritage listed pub (great looking old place), Foodworks supermarket, chemist, take-away shop (fish&chips etc), newsagent (with Melb papers). Only 60km from Albury and 70km from Wagga Wagga.
And if you're lucky enough the friendly stray duck may still be here.
Cheers and happy camping Julie & John

Thanks, Julie and John, sounds like our sort of place. Is there plenty of room for a 7.7 m 5th-wheeler to manoeuvre? Caravan Parks Australia Wide doesn't mention large vehicles, but then they often miss out on that one. I notice too that the park has a dump point -- another plus!

Gday...
Not a problem ... the flat, grassed area with some trees has plenty of room to manoeuvre a big rig. It is site 808/NSW in Camps 5 and states Big Rigs OK.
No Dump Point though ... nearest one is at Henty about 10km north of here.
I doubt if the park ever gets filled as there have only been four travellers using the park this week .... we have been here 6 days but the other three travellers were only overnighters - one small AVan, a 19foot van and a largish motorhome.
Cheers Julie & John
