You could vote, Where ever my bed is!!!
That would be relevant to travellers on the road permanently.

Cheers

Where you call home is not the same as where you are or where your bed is.
Lots of Australians still call England "home".
Maybe you need a third try?

Cheers,
Peter

Is Newcastle "City" or "Country".... Country people reckon it's city; City people reckon it's country....

or..

as Paul Keeting (remember him? confuse) once said, If you don't live in Sydney you're camping out. wink

PS: I answered "Country NSW" as I assumed that by "City" you meant "Capital City"

Please don't get me wrong Pam, it's a great little survey and if there's a reasonable participation it should give an interesting profile of the forum's membership.

But... (you knew this was coming didn't you? wink)

at the risk of appearing pedantic, it can be a challenge to ensure that the questions are clear and unambiguous, such as my query about what is city and what is country, also what is meant by "Wherever my bed is"; is this intended to cover those full time "on the road" ?

As most of us lack mind-reading skills, what is clear in your mind may not be so clear to the rest of us.

best wishes,

Jim

I'm in Logan Qld. It's a city in itself, although on the southside of Brisbane. When someone asks where I'm from, I tend to say Brisbane because no-one seems to have heard of Logan, or if they have, they say 'oh! a Logan bogan!' devil.gif  doh.gif

Jim,
This is just for fun and maybe to learn a little about our group here.
Interpret the categories how ever you choose.

Country NSW is in the lead at the moment. I wonder if NSW has the larger population in general?

Pam thats not a survey that we could run our membership is is such small number of people on the road but if we did know how many RV vechiles on register in Australia we would be blown away we have just over 2000 member CMCA has 59000 members and there is a lot out there just doing their thing

"Where ever my bed is " is our home, we're like the snail always have our home with us. Don't own a house and have been living this way for over 4years now and got no intention of changing.

Find it hard to believe such a small proportion being from VIC, I reckon 2 out 3 rego plates are always victorian no matter what caravan park you are in.

I would have thought more Vics as well. Hard to work out as it is in percentages. Doesn't tell you exactly how many people in those areas, and my brain is not into working out percentages tongiht.

I think maybe 5 in Country Vic and 2 1/2 in City Vic. Hows that!!
Or is it 4 3/4s.

I'm a turtle too. No real estate or furniture for me either.
Surveys can give misleading results. This one might get close to giving you a picture of how it works out here.
Not everyone is on this forum. Not everyone is a member of a caravan or motor home club.
Not everyone uses van parks. Not everyone free camps.
I would find the outcome of the van park vs free camp statistics interesting.

Would have to include a topic for those of us who use both freebies and parks CG

That's what I was hinting at.
It's hard to do the city vs regional city vs country, as we are all on the move, and some of us don't have a fixed address to which we return.
The freebie vs the van park would be a good comparison.
