The Big Icons

G,Day everyone, After reading your story about all our big icons my 16yr daughter suggested when we start our big trip in 4 months that we should find all the Big Icons around Australia. Can anyone tell us if there is a list somewhere of all of them so we can check them out.   blankstare

I like the idea or looking for something in particular in your travels. My pick would be old stone buildings or heritage pubs.

Love the idea of old stone buildings and pubs. I particularly like churches, not sure why I am not overly religious, maybe it is the workmanship, history etc.

Me too Sandra, I am not religious either but have hundreds of photos of churches, maybe because of their stone work. Just like the look of them from the outside.

Edited for spelling mistakes!!

Heritage pubs for me!

The Churches one reminds me of the ABC tour of Europe... Another bloody cathedral, church, castle, etc.wink

If you are talking about BIG icons and refer to the likes of the BIG BANANA, BIG PRAWN etc, just thought I would mention that the BIG PINEAPPLE on Qld Sunshine Coast closed down last week...

You have to see the Big Gallah in Kimba, and the big Crayfish at Kingston SE, South Aust.
I think the big ram at Goulbourn is a work of art. Even the rubbish bin is a little merino lamb.
The country we live in is BIG! Go and see the BIG country and have a big, fat good time.
