Re: Casual vineyard hand

Could anyone tell me what sort of work is involved in being a casual vineyard hand? Hylda & I are not the fittest people going around, I have a touchy back & also get short of breath easily so am not sure if I can handle it.
What are the different types of jobs which entail the term 'Vineyard Hand.

If we have reason, we will stay in the Margaret River area for a few months as it is a lovely place so it would be nice to supplement our income a little whilst here.

Cheers
Jon

The main casual jobs are grapepicking which is hard work but there are other jobs in the packing sheds etc

This link may be of help or speak to Centre Link in Margaret River

It could involve all manner of things. We spent a week pruning vines and found it very hard on the wrist and feet. suggest you contact employer and ask what they require. Good luck.
