thanks for the replies --- sounds a lot easier than i thought iy would be

but to continue on -- which states/territories require a "annual roadworthy test" for  vechiles like in  NSW.

and  how much variation in $$$ is there for rego/third party ins --- is getting quite hefty in NSW

I know there is no annual road worthy test in Vic, Only when vehicles change hands.
Rego cheap in Vic if you have a pension which covers third party etc. My paperwork is in the car but think it is around 250.00 for my little car.

WA has no regular vehicle inspections.
Statistically no greater figures on mechanically induced road incidents either.
