Hi all, The last time that I went camping I saw that a couple of vans had converted gas cyclinders to fire places / stove tops / bbq plates. What I trying to find out has any member tried it an if did they doument the process with photographs, designs, ideas etc. So far I have got the valve out and have filled it with water a couple of times. How often will I have to flush it before the smell/gas is gone, and how long will it be brfore it is safe to saw a drill. Is there any advantage in having a door in it , apart from loading it.
Nice bit of gear, My mother brought one while in Queens land .She is 90 and still travels, so there is no hope for me. When she came home I thought I could make one for my self.. Easy as. Found that a thin cutting blade was best .and marked it all out before cutting.. And welded the hing on the door before finishing the round cut.. Other than that a breezzzz.. And it works well..BobnBev
