Brewarrina Caravan Park recommended

Gday...
Stayed last night in the Brewarrina Caravan Park (NSW). It is not in Camps 5 or the other usual guides. However, we would recommend it.
$20/night for 2 adults power site - stay 3 nights and get the 3rd night free. Amenities block is fairly new and very clean. Washing Machine ($ fee) no dryer but clothes lines.
You pay for the site and get the amenities key from the Information Centre in the main street (Bathurst Street).
Brewarrina is a nice place for a day or two for rest and to see the local sights.
Cheers

Julie & John

Travelled through "The Bre" few years back, they were literally begging tourists to stop and spend some money there. (we stopped and bought fuel) Good rouse to make you stay an extra night for free. Good on them. Hope it works. These outback towns need our travelling dollars.

Hi guys,

Never been to Brewarrina. That whole area is on my to do list.

My touring times are limited to a maximum of four weeks (annual leave), of which I try to take it in two two week lots. One two week touring and one two week plonked on a beach somewhere.

Dunmowin's got it right. These outback towns need our dollars. It bugs me when I see on a forum that somebody wants information on carrying extra diesel because they are too stingy to pay an extra few dollars at an outback servo. These outback servos need our business to stay viable. If they dont get the dollars they will close down, disadvantaging all of us caravanners.

My thoughts.

Cheers
Ross

Hi all,

Stayed in Brewarrina in October 2010 were going to stay for a week but the first night we where there we got robbed there was another couple as well they had the back of their ute emptied. Yes we were in the Caravan park, the people in the free areas had the same fate.
Needless to say it was a nice place but just be wary. The local police officer said that it had been quiet for about a year but has started up again.
Still hoping to get some of our things back.
