Probably be the el-cheapo model knowing the government. The Strong is a good brand I hear with all the bells & whistles. They were $150 a while ago.
I have the satellite set-up Bob but refuse to pay $150 for a new card to access free-to-air, especially when you then have to apply to gain access to 7 & 9. It's too limited.
There is a new platform coming around the end of the year according to SatPlus called VAST which is Freeview via satellite & is portable for $495 including everything.
I've put in my order for that system in preference to the others.

Strong box only standard definition so fairly useless

get a high def 240-12v Magnavox for $49 Warehouse, GoLo, Crazy Clarkes
Magnavox superior receiver to Strong and better software for travellers

Is a TV digital set top box.

If you have Bigpond wireless have a look at Telstra T Box.  T Box works on 240V and 12V $299 is a bargain.

Here is the link Paul should have given http://www.telstra.com.au/tbox/index.html

What are the data download costs like when you are watching TV?
