there may be others out there ,but I heard this you can enter your width, height etc
and it wont take you down those roads that normal gps's do..

I love it!
After being directed down Elenora Road in Sydneys northern beaches by Daisy our friendly GPS & finding ourselves with caravan in tow creeping down the skinny downhill stretch of S bends where we barely fit & were constantly holding up trafic going the other way I think this new GPS is a great idea for caravaners. Unluckly until the one we have packs it in we cannot justify the expense of another one just yet.

Cheers
Jon

Good advice Colsa....I can "pre-save" future POIs in my "favorites" folder to save having to drill down through place names. "Karen" the female voice in my Garmin has a very distinct and clear voice and not an American accent so she's fine to listen to although like you I often have it on mute. It also has a male voice that can be selected but I prefer Karen's voice.

I can also pre-load my "favorites" and custom POI files from my computer including Google Maps. Very useful for pre-loading Caravan Park locations.

Read the fine print before you jump in, I would be very surprised if this feature works in Australia.

Like in the TomTom, has roadwork, weather warnings further on your route etc, all fine if you are driving in Europe, Usa or such.

Cheers

It appears to be ok for Aus/NZ use according to the Garmin Website https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=275&pID=31541

You do make a good point however Delta18 about checking these things first before rushing in.
