GETTING WARMER

Yes, it's getting warmer the further North we go.

We are in the Daley Waters Pub CP at the moment.  What an experience this place is.  I'm not going to give the details away except to say if you haven't been here before it is well worth the few ks off the main road.

A word of warning:   If you don't get here BEFORE midday then you probably won't get a powered site.  There are unpowered and even they were full by 2pm.  They line up on the road trying to get a spot.

The food at the pub is great and they even did a pancake breakfast this morning.  Buy one get one free too.

Heading into Katherine tomorrow for a few days.

Darwin is getting closer and if all goes well we will stay at the Lee Point CP so if anyone is in the vicinity look us up and well have a cuppa or something better.

Safe travels everyone.

Elaine and Rob.

How about someone that's been to Darwin let me in on which park to stay at.  Will probably want to stay about 3 weeks.  Any ideas that won't break the bank would be appreciated

Thanks Tige, just what I needed to know, now I can have a good old chuckle.........gee I'm awful aren't I?   Dont answer that.......laughing.gif

Glassies,  we stayed for two nights at the Daley Waters Pub.  What an experience.  On the Saturday night there were about 200 people in the beer garden and the Beef-n-Barra was exceptional.   Didn't see any birds out the front.    They ran out of sites, powered, unpowered and in the paddocks surrounding the pub.  So many people.   Was absolutely great.  Will do it again.   If you or anyone else is thinking ofgoing there and want a powered site  GET THERE EARLY IN THE DAY especially if it's over the weekend.

hm they had those ring neck parrots outside in a cage were gorgeous yellow ones and green from memory ?,was a cool pub at the time we were there i reckon there were maybe five people in the pub ? so i saw things differently thats for sure, it was so quiet i could hear the birds squawkin in the cage from inside the pub ?.

oh well see how things change now, there are most certainly much more people getting round oz thats for sure.
