The Day Has Finally Arrived

Well everyone, from about 6am in the morning, we will be on the road. It seems to have taken forever but its now finally here. smile

We only have eight weeks but will enjoy every minute of that time.

Look after yourselves and might see some of you out there.  sun.gif

Have a safe trip Firefly, maybe we might see you on the road too, we leave Bribie in 5 1/2 weeks for all points north of here to Townsville for a week, then heading west, south & eventually east and home - 5 week trip all up, and can't wait!

It seems to take forever to get here doesn't it and when its the night before, its a last minute scurry and an emu bob to make sure everything is packed tight.

Do it safe and do it well FF.

Richo, the way things are going, I'll still be here. I'll catch up when you get here.
And anyone else heading to Cairns - call in to say g'day.
I'll put the kettle on.

Night one on the road, camped on the banks of the Moonie river, bevvie in hand, campfire raging and using the Telstra browser pack. Magic.

We are at Nindigully (Camp 824)

You're covering some serious territory there Linda, a lot of ks each day.

It's bloody cold in our "neck of the woods",  as if you care!biggrin

Hi all, off the Gibb River Road yesterday and at Derby now, for a bit of maintainence on us and the car.

We really do live in God's country, I will post pics here when we return. It is magnificant. We want to come back here and do it again.

Onto Broome tomorrow to spend a week at Cape Levique free camping.

Some of the free camps have been brilliant and the people we have met are amazing. I keep giving the site details to here and the Boomers so we may get some new recruits for sure. smilesmile

Miss you all but not enough to come back. winkwink
