Camp sites as in "CAMPS AUSTRALIA WIDE'

I have noticed some of the campsites in the 'Camps Australia Wide' had new signs erected to stop people from staying. Maby we should get in touch with these councils and complain. Please let's have your comments.

The whole point of it is that they want us to stay in caravan parks.....And pay heaps.....The Government gets GST remember.....No use asking them for a fair deal....

Councils don't seem to understand that campers do like to rough it a little....Hence free camping

I suspect a lot of this is the result of pressure from caravan park owners at a local government level. I can understand banning overnight camping in or near residential areas or at places set aside for day use recreation however many of the sites referred to probably fit neither of these categories.

Camps A. W. do have an update page on their website as well a page for users to report changes.

I think the Campervan and Motorhome Club is an active lobby group in this regard and as you're elegible to be a member (if not already) maybe that is the organisation to contact.
