Hi All, we live in Hervey Bay and we would like to go somewhere for a couple of weeks in our van as it has been sitting since Christmas. We have just returned from a flying visit to Perth and then a car travel to Newcastle all for family now we need our time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a nice spot.
We do not go off road though.

I know it is 605 kilometers from Hervey Bay but I reckon you can't go past Clareview CP. Whilst it is fairly old the amenities are very clean and they have a little shop and a restaurant that has only one meal at night but all good home cooking.
The tranquility there we found to be great. Only spent 4 nights but wished we could have stayed a couple of weeks
Pretty good fishing as well.
Friendly management makes for a nice relaxing time.
At this time of the year with all the grey nomads migrating north it would probably be advisable. We were there in November last year, which is quite warm then, and there were very few in.
