External Lights for Van

Hi ..

My dear old Jayco has a 12v incandescent light fitted as the external lighting under the awning.

They are pretty useless except maybe for security purposes.

I have long been using a 240v fluro extension lead for general lighting in the annex but would rather install something permanent. Either 12v or 240v.

Can anyone help with experience of a good waterproof option please?

The new small fluro globes fit into the oyster light cover.
There are a creamy tone or a bight tone globe. They vary in output - your choice, but they're generally brighter than the equivalent in the "old fashioned" globe. They also have a much longer life.
One type I'm using is a Philips Tornado 12W extra bright warm white.
Another is a Mirabella "Petite spiral", 13W cool white.
They claim 5 yr lamp life.
They come in bayonet and screw fitting. Well worth the bucks. Cheers Chris
