I know Cindy frowns on us mentioning other sites but I will just ask this, if any of you fellows (or gals) come across a campsite that is of note please place it in the camping section of here and also go to this site and add it in there....http://ozcamps.net/...

I have just placed a heap in there and it can only expand and become of value to travelers if we contribute to it!

I have no affiliation with this site but I do support it wholeheartedly, it exists merely to provide us (the traveler) to find a nights kip at little or no expense

all campsites can be downloaded and printed off or placed as a GPS POI file and downloaded to our GPS, please also place a note of merit for the campsite

The Lats and Longs have me tricked,
How do I convert them to          Deg Min & Seconds   ?

In OziExplorer I have tried Deg minutes & Seconds
                                           Deg Minutes
                                           Degrees

All to no avail.

Please Help.

Hi Dodg
In OziExplorer go to File/Configuration/Maps.
Change the Lat/Long display to "Degrees" then "save" the change.
Create a "waypoint" (POI) on any map then select this waypoint and "edit" the position.
You should now be able to put in the OzCamps co-ordinates as "Deg.dddddd" (forget the minus, Lat), name the waypoint, then save.

From the "waypoint list" you can now select the waypoint then "find map" to locate the new waypoint on the relevant map.

If you want the OziExplorer co-ordinates in Degrees Min & Seconds go back to steps 1& 2 and change the Lat/Long display back to "Deg, Min, Sec" and the conversion will be done.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ron,
I was making a simple error by not putting the "Deg POINT ddddd
Yep missing that decimal point.no
Errr.... now I get the point.confuse
And I have been using Ozie for years DUH! but I favour  "Deg, Min, Seconds.
But will adjust Ozie each time I want to check them out.smile

Thanks Dodg.wink
