The time is close.

We have finally sorted out the car. Late08 ford territory. Van 04 Jayco Freedom. All wiring for the brakes fitted, garmin nuvi loaded with the camps 5 downloaded, fridge finally working and soon we will be off. Easter is to be a small run to test what we can (including how the four legged kids will travel and behave in camp sites etc.) We will then begin our lap in the first week or so in July. I want to get what should be my last tax return done before leaving. Hopefully more $'s for the trip. Still not certain if we will turn right at Katherine or go the other way round. My original reason for going west around no longer exists so we will make up our minds as the need arises. Hope to meet many of you as we travel this great land.

May I make a suggestion....
Load the van up with all you think you will need for the big trip.
This should then give you an idea of how the rig will tow and what gear you will need.
A fellow traveler when I started many years ago told me the same however he added that I should mark everything we used with a texta and when we got home from the shakedown cruise to totally unload the van and vehicle then excepting for emergency gear leave out anything that was not marked when repacking.

Cheers Dodg.

G'day Dodg Thanks for that good idea. We have travelled before but always with a time table. This one has absolutely no frame at all except to see as much of this great place as we can.

We are heading home for Easter, to keep out the way.
Plud down our way thousands move in over Easter and there is plenty of activities going on locally.
