Old Calliope Crossing

Old Calliope crossing is closed to traffic. You can still camp fr free on both sides of the river but you can,t drive across the concrete crossing- traffic barriers on both sides. This is a pity bacause I have been camping there for years. Workplace, health and safety crap, I suppose.still a nice spot.  BILL

Yes I noticed that it was closed a few months back Bill when I came through that way.  I end up staying down the road at Boyne River Rest.  Not as good as a spot but still it was by the river.

New toilets were being built on the top side when there last year (side where the shop and museum is).
