"Roughing It"

You've probably seen it before, but it does take "camping" to a whole new level.

The owners of this rig wants to be "trailer trash".
They did not cause any of the problems that our country faces today. They did not get mortgages they couldn't afford. They did not run banks to the ground with greed. They did not use investors for their personal benefit. They don't even belong to the unions that ask too much of their companies.
"I'm tired of paying mortgage bills, utility bills, property taxes.
I want to live more simply, pack up my bags and move into a travel-trailer.
I don't mind being called 'trailer trash', but they want our opinion."

Why not? It's a great little accessory. Sort of like THE handbag to go with the shoes, to go with the hat.
Or in the bloke's case, the right little car to go with the big house wherever it's parked.
And it's a RED car - it goes faster and attracts the shielas.
A bloke with a car like that would be in eye-candy heaven. If he had the body to go with the little red body, wow, what a package!
(NO, I haven't stopped perving - I'm not dead yet).

We have this one parked in our driveway at the moment.
Not quite as flash as "Roughing It", but right up there.
It has 4 seperate bedrooms, 1,400W of solar, 1,000L of water........
Volvo 6cyl, 10Litre diesel. The Toad is a Ford Explorer in the enclosed trailer.

Margaret can walk underneath the lounge slide-out. There is a second slide-out for the master bedroom.

The whole rig is 2.5m wide, 4.3m high, 19m long and weighs 22 tonns.
The family includes 2 teenagers who are home schooling on the road (they are travelling full time). They sold their house and bought this rig second hand to "live the dream".
Just because someone drives a seriously big motorhome, does not necessarily make them wealthy. It is about the lifestyle choices you make...

Cheers,
Peter

It sure does Peter!
It looks as though the one in Peter's yard is as comfortable and as capable as the roughing it.
It could inspire some of us to improve our lifestyle if the budget allowed it.
As long as they're happy and love what they're doing, it's all good.

There are degrees of roughing it and that isn't one of them LOL. My wife's idea of roughing it is not having access to a hairdryer........
