We carry a Honda e2 but have rarely used it.  We are pretty well set up with solar (240w on the roof) which provides us with all the power we need 99% of the time.

We do run it if we need the air/con in a free camp but then most other campers are using theirs too.

I think to use it on an unpowered park site would be rather rude unless you locked it inside your car maybe. cry I am sure tent users next to you would take a dim view of the noise.

We never need ours to charge batteries but if someone did need it for that then between the hours of daylight would not worry me.

I can really handle the steady hum of a genny anytime, it is the wizz-bang camper doors in the middle of the night that 'P' me off.

Cheers Neil

We use ours only when camping put it on for a couple of hours a day to keep the fridge cold and i'm on a vpap machine at night so i have to have it on but we always park well away from other campers,  i'd say yes but with consideration to others.

I think a Honda i20 or similar are fine through the day is fine and into the first hour or two after dark maybe but after that it can test a friendship.

We use a honda 2 when I have to top up batteries ,mainly up north when fishing & the freezer is working hard .
The solar works well most of the time .
We are bush camped when doing this, others all do the same .

winkwink I can answer that a vpap machine is a cpap machine when you accidently hit the v which is next to the c on the keyboard - in other words a typo

Hi Justcruisin, I find I'm a more tolerant and happy person when the freezer is working hard whilst camped in the gulf or N. T. The honda and solar during the day should keep you going, shame about the solar at night, I can never get mine to work

Hi dave sorry it took so long to get back to you,  cpap is controlled air pressure meaning the air goes into you  continually, vpap is when i breath out the machine stops and when i breathe in the machine forces the air into me, sounds all techo but  hey as long as i wake in the morning who cares.
