If by the hinterland, you mean the Gold Coast hinterland.
The Mt. Warning caravan takes dogs and there is heaps to do in the area
Cheers
Brian

"Caravan Parks Australia Wide" published by the same people who do the Camps 5 A. W. book, indicate all the pet friendly parks in their listings. They make the common sense suggestion to check with the park first as park owners can change their policy on pets.

They list the Dorrigo Mountain CP as not being pet friendly. This is the only park I see listed in the mountains near Coffs. It would be worth checking the Camps 5 book. You are no doubt aware of the restrictions on pets in the New England and Dorrigo National parks (and all NPs)

LadyG - try this site!

http://www.discoverdownunder.com.au

When you go to this site, choose Holiday Parks on the panel on the left, then click on State and on left panel choose dogs allowed-Yes- then click search lower down.

If you like this site as I do I have it saved to favourites and you can use it for every state you are travelling into.

Hope this helps in your search for dog friendly parks.
Cheers Dawn
