and I did speak to Geoff Brock (our local member) about gaining travel discounts aboard the spirit for us assorted nomads and caravaner's, he seems to think the Tassie tourism or Tasmanian government would be the one's to approach

failing that then the next would be the federal government, if I was to do it I would approach both parties simultaneously, Geoff seems to think our plea would be looked upon favorably

just a tip if you are thinking of taking the trip across then join the C.M.C.A. first and when you book on the spirit quote "club discount" this will allow a greater discount than any other offer

you may be asked for your membership number but the discount for the trip outweighs the cost of the membership!

Ah! the C.M.C.A. stands for the Caravan and Motorhome owners Club of Australia and it's site may be viewed here...http://www.cmca.net.au/pages/index.php

if you have a campervan or a Motorhome then this will interest you, by becoming a member it entitles you to cheaper travel via the spirit of Tasmania ferry.......found here..... http://www.spiritoftasmania.com.au/

as well as a few other benefits as well such as cheaper insurance

the yellow tag thingy is simply a tag for you to add a little bit extra to, it only appears on the posts that you place and goes away after a while
