I ain't telling you so there!

nope no way, I'm here and you ain't finding out where I is, tomorrow morning we will be at a strawberry farmlet just out of Cessnock! I think???

the lady of the house will be released from hospital at around tennish, left breast removed (cancer) and radical hysterectomy,(grapefruit size growth, cist???) hence why  we are over here

the dragon went through a radical hysterectomy around 5 years ago so is very well versed in this and can offer enormous support

we have had a marvelous trip all through some of the finest inhabited landscapes that we have had the pleasure to witness and still it continues, the point to point references is something I would recommend you all trying some day, it's a great way of "finding" unexpected things

I hope she is well on the road to recovery now Dave, that is a rotter of a thing mate.

If you are near Cessnock and have time, give us a yell, would love to say hello.

But will understand, time does limit you on these trips.  smile

supposedly all fine fly but I know what the dragon was like after her op!

we will let the pair of them have today and tonight to recover from the "shock", thats what we wanted after the dragons op was just a little "thinking time", we will go and pick her up in the morning

it will be a blow because she is one who would not be seen without makeup any time day or night and always dressed to the nines, absolutely lovely woman

I think she has an expander inserted and will start the breast enhancement therapy in a week or so, she will not take this lying down, we have been friends forever, met in Darwin 30 odd years ago, I know her too well, we simply "must" be with her at this time, it will rock her world but by hell it wont beat her!

Thats a great spirit she has by the sound Dave.  smile

Great to see she will be surrounded by genuine friends at such a time as well. So many people do not know how to handle the Big C, they find avoiding the sufferer is the easiest way round that.

ah!! we are still working that one out fly "how to handle the big 'C'" I guess we will be what we have always been and just be there for them, the surgeons supposedly got it all, no chemo necesary, but hell who knows, it's cancer, it does whatever it wants to do!

I'm in and out of tears all the time today, so I'm going to be a mess when we meet again, always been a soft hearted fool, hence why no photo's, truthfully, we are just working through this one day at a time! huge blow to have one's own go down!

sitting here in a cabin just digesting the facts and working out our strategy, I'm falling back on my training a fair bit here for support but it doesnt work when it's this close

I guess tomorrow will be what tommorrow will be and that will be the end of it, I think I will take them home with me when we leave as I dont see two days being enough, I've got to get Jocks crop off but they need support as well

I think we will take them them home to a truckload of "family", all willing to evelope them, I think she needs this at this time, whether she wants it is a different kettle of fish altogether, but she's always called our place "home" and always said it was the only place she could just "relax"

I think you could be right in that stratedgy Dave, to have friends and family around and to get the head going in the right direction certainly will help that healing process. Chin up mate, no chemo, thats bloody brilliant.  smile

Duck, another man bought me this outfit, but don't feel slighted.  wink

Goodonya Dave...

Give the lady her own choices, and support her no matter what.

If you were counselling somebody else with the same problem as you are facing now...what strategy would you come up with?

Very Best wishes to all of you.... the whole family is hit with anything like this.

My thoughts and best wishes to your friend Dave,

I went through the breast cancer thing 9 years ago and also had a radical mastectomy, only I had to have the chemo for 6 months.

You sound like a very supportive friend to have and if she has a positive attitude to life, then after the initial shock has worn off, she will be fine.

There's nothing better than having your family and friends around you at this traumatic time.

Good on you Dave0, I know just how you are feeling, Irona had bowel cancer a few years back and I still get a bit panicky if something doesn't seem right with her.

As you well know all you can really do is be there for the lady and give her all the support you can.

All our best wishes to you all.

John & Irona.

it affects us all in some small way, I'll pass on the well wishes from you folks,

once she gets back to the family she'll be right! I think,

I have spoken with her quacks over the phone and they are willing to have the breast augmentation procedures done in Adelaide and any follow up treatment there as well,

so all, in theory should be well, I or the dragon can rip her backwards and forwards for treatment I think her recovery will be much better at home where the woman can do what women do best, fuss over her! like a mob of chooks!

I'll triple up on my "happy pills" and pick her up tomorrow morning with a smile! spend a couple days up there and take her home!

The power of positive thinking is amazing. Best wishes.

was that at St Andrews Dave? thats where I had my lump removed on the 30th. My best to her for a speedy recovery and rapid acceptance. DeBe told me "I want you, not your T*ts. "and I believe him. Mine turned out to be just that, a small lump, results from pathology on Tues.

great attitude, in the scheme of things, boobs mean very little to most other folks but to you girls they are part and parcel of who you are,

anyone contemplating mastectomy or radical healing surgery please don't hesitate, this is life saving stuff

we want you alive with or without appendages, true freinds and family dont bloody care, they will support and apreciate you regardless
