Ok, I'm off to the dementia ward....

I have a friend who is a very pedantic perfectionist sort of guy who wanted to check out my workshop so I cleaned up; his is always pristine (but never used) went inside and washed my hands with toothpaste.....
I think next visit to the War Vets Home I'll find a vacant bed and claim it.......

Your workshop Basil.  Things YOUR way.  If they don't like it they can stay away.

A tidy workshop with things where YOU can find them when you USE them is all you need.
Your mate's workshop is so clean, neat and tidy because he doesn't use it. Get it Basil?
No one will lock you up for keeping busy in a well-equipped and well-used workshop.
What's with the toothpast? Were you lining up for a manicure?
You worry too much about what others think. Did you feel better? (probably not).
If the guy was offended by a working workshop that's his problem, and maybe that bed has his name on it. Keep smiling Basil

It was the toothpaste thing that was the worry. My hands ended up with a fresh minty aroma...

I hate tidy workshops they remind me of my days in the Army where the workshops were tidied and cleaned to the point of absurdity and the people directing the cleaning all  have sterile unimaginative minds....

HAH!!!! HAH!!! HAH!!! a clean workshop HAH!! HAH!! stop it you jest!!, I know where everything is simply because it's where I left it last time I used it, I should have a sign on mine stating "enter at your peril", mine is constantly in use (when I get a free minute) and is constant disarray just as I like it!! spotless house filthy shed and I love it!

he dont like then he aint welcome and who the hell cares what he thinks anyway, clean shed he must be a poof!!

however I have never used toothpaste to clean my hands that would belong to "things that make you go HMmmmm!!"

So Basil, are you saying your hands were clean but your teeth were still dirty?
Or did you use hand cleaner for the teeth?
Now I'm confused - I think
Your efforts to please are applauded, but not at the risk of your insanity.

Bas.......the question is...............Did it stop the decay in your hands?

Now all you have to do is work out how to give a dazzling smile with your hands and the whole thing wasn't wasted.

Good on you for trying to impress your friends. I hope the lesson is learnt..............DON"T!!!

Yes I did wonder, retrenched sailor too.

I'm getting some wine casks to plant trees in; if he suggests I take a turn in the Barrel I'll know for sure....

One thing I did learn from this excercise..... I bought an Ozito Wet & Dry shop vac, yeah very average performance but it had a coorugated paper filter and I vacuumed up some brass swarf, it tore the filter to pieces and of course there were sparks smoke and the odour of buring electrics followed by a loud POP then nothing....
Yes before anyone says anything it does have an australian standards compliance but noting to say "do not suck up metal with the workshop vacuum cleaner".... Back to Bunnings with it....
