Footwear,

Whats your favorite footwear while driving,???
bought a new pair of boots, could'nt find Redbacks or Blundstones, so ended up with Elastic sided Baxters, made in NSW, needed real bad, my others were falling to bits,
Hate breaking in a new pair of boots with the stiff leather, went down to PO in slippers and what a relief, so easy to press the pedals,
Normally on a trip wear leather runners ,any model as long as its leather cause my feet get hot in the enclosed space of a car, with cotton socks

Depending on the climate I wear good sneakers and good thick cotton socks, or if it's warmer I wear comfortable reef sandals. As long as the shoes are secure to avoid tangles with the pedals, and slows down the swelling and sweating.

.. joggers, light shoes or barefoot .. Basically for comfort but without impeding or restricting anything that might jepoardise my capacity to efficiently drive the vehicle ..

summer at home, thongs, bare feet inside

summer out there, ankle socks and apropriate footwear (uncomfortable shoes

winter at home, ankle socks and steel cap rossi boots (why does the hammer or lump of steel always hit just behind the steel cap?????????) socks inside

winter out there, uncomfortable shoes and socks

why the uncomfortable shoes and socks, because the dragon expects a "reasonable" dress code, and what the nagasaurus wants the nagasaurus gets, or I suffer, "such is life"

I'm with you on that one Ken. Like you I even drove the truck in bare feet and it DOES give more control.  Nothing worse than wearing inappropriate footwear only to have the foot slip off the pedal.  Can lead to all sorts of disasters.

Best Driving shoes I ever had, were a pair of proper Indian Moccasins, for the same reason as Ken said. It's the closest to driving with bare feet, which I prefer also. Only problem was, they were Hickory smoked, and whenever out of the vehicle, whatever dogs were around, used to follow me every-where. The Moccs. smelled like Bacon.

Cheers,
xina.
