hi surnami.         beautiful country down in the injune,  i used to go that way, with bananas,on my trips from tully to adelaide.      a great parking bay at the jump up. ( where you are advised to engage low gear and proceed up the hill )

I guess the rain is welcomed by the rural industries, and it's topping up the water storages.
Not good for tourism, espcially if it's cold as well.
It's been coolish up here in Cairns during the night, and the days are very mild, even overcast looking like rain.
The tourist numbers are starting to increase, but only slowly, so the weather isn't keeping them south of the border.
Let's be thankful the drought may be over. It affects so much of this country and the fishing industries. Cheers Chris

Hi peoples
Don't mention rain, in Coffs area were just getting over 2 floods and now we have more rain which becomes a pain when I'm trying to move a 3 b/r house full of furniture & belongings into storage by the end of the month preparing for the 'big adventure'.
Apart from tramping through muddy grass with trolleys of boxes & stuff & when each load is full I have to get a farmer friend to tow the small truck out of the mud as the weight has it bogged yet again. Also have to contend with feeding the leeches on the way to the truck who seem to be reveling in my misfortune, not to mention how I am suppose to tidy the yard & mow the mud...er, I mean lawn, wash the outside of the house & windows etc etc etc. I Think we will head to the outback first so I don't have to see any more rain for a looong looong time haha.
