The Mulligan h'way is sealed all the way and is about 300K's.The road from Mossman to the Mulligan H'way is quite steep in parts but is a beautiful drive, there is a really nice free camp as you come into Mt Molloy ( we stayed there a week ago).

If you go up thru cape tribulation it is 4WD only.

That's the Bloomfield track, A nice drive if it's dry as most of the really tricky bits are sealed with concrete strips.

The Bloomfield is open at the moment. From what I've seen it's not too tricky, but there are a couple of steep bits.
The road from Mossman to Mt. Molloy is a beautiful drive, and not too difficult to tow up, if you have the right vehicle.
From Mt. Molloy to Cooktown is sealed, with a couple of steep and windy nips. Once again, not too hard to tow, if you have the right vehicle.
My park neighbours are heading up the Bloomfield tomorrow to Cooktown, and down the inland road. I've only done the Cairns to Cooktown inland route. I did a short burst of the bottome end of the Bloomfield, and the road was in reasonable condition. I don't know what the wet season did to it. I guess it's all good.
Cheers Chris
