Yeah I don't know... In NSW if you are a pensioner you can get a freee yearly pass. Some places in NSW on the south Coast that are really picture sque are $7 for 24 hours.

In Queensland at present..

$4.85 per person per night.
Family of 2 Adults and as many children under 16 can camp for $19.40
No vehicle costs.

All parks are the same..regardless of level of facilities

The free pass for NSW pensioners only gets you into the park as a day visitor If you want to camp then that's an extra . NSWPS has a secret policy of trying to keep people out of their parks while sucking up heaps of taxpayer funds to maintain the spots no bugger can get to unless your ex SAS.

There are spots on the NSW Mid North Coast where you are financially better off staying in an established van park in a fully self contained on-suite site than staying in a NP with cold showering in brackish water and a long drop dunny miles down the road.

If you type in NSW National Parks Fees it will lead you into the various national parks and then display a heap of info on fees and facilities .

Most seem to be in the order of $7 per day to get in and around $10-14 per night per person to camp.

Family of 2 adults =$ 20 + 2 kids = $10 + 1 Car 7 = $37 per night

Some have fees up to $16 P/N/P/P

Just stayed in South West Rocks en-suite site for 32 per night less 10% Top Tourist Discount

Considering that a van park operator has truly enormous overheads and have staff on tap 24/7 how is it that the NP's are so expensive when they provide very little if anything to ensure you have a comfortable and safe stay ..

It's that government chairborne division again sucking up resources better used on the front line .

 Guess we will be giving some of the NP's a miss then.  Can't justify that type of expense when you can free camp or as Wombat said Top Tourist was cheaper.
