Infromation Needed

Grettings all, as with the previous post we are still looking for a van here in WA. We have found one that looks in good condition at a price we can afford ($45k). T'was wondering if anyone knows anything about the "2003 model Traveller Chateau".

So many brands.....so many choices.confuseconfuseconfuseashamedashamedashamed

We looked at Traveller vans and I thought they were well built and reasonable value for your $, quite innovative features and sensibly laid out. Was quite impressed overall. They tended to be a tad heavier than other vans of similar spec, that could have been because of extra material used or more accurate measurement of the actual weight of the completed van. Reason we did not purchase one is that the closest dealer to us is in Port Macquarie ( now Tocumwal), a good, very solid days drive which is to far away in the event of problems arrising under warranty.

Just check everything works, including the taps, water heater, shower, no leaks and underneath check for cracks in the chassis (Preston Chassis - who I think makes the chasisisisis for these went through a period of poor QC back then) drop down corner jacks were good though if you can't get down to use them then maybe not so good.
Hey I'm pleased to see someone else enjoys a more "luxurious" vanning experience.
Deal Hard too, vans in the upper weights and prices are not selling due to fuel prices and people are putting fuel costs before their own cumfort.

Thanks Basil. Going back Friday to the dealer to have a detailed look. Going to take along my sons little under car trolley so that I can get down low.

For that VV problem you had, go to www.anzmi.net

If you're at Caravanland, watch your wallet and the warranty conditions.
They have a habit of ripping off the naive and gullible.
