Rock Thrower Warning

It appears that the rock throwers are back in action on the southern entrance to Taree  between the highway and the first roundabout  where you turn right on the old highway to go into Taree proper .

You can't educate idiots.

They are not restricted to hiding behind the brick wall anymore they now come right out onto the road  on pushies to force you to slow down then the incoming start , rocks, bricks , star pickets , pushie wheels  you name it it all gets airborne .  Time fuzz get there they are back on the reservation.  If you run over one keep going into town to the police station to report it but don't get out of your car at the site what ever you do

I experienced that in the late 60s and early 70s. Same place. Seems nothing changes....

Often wonder what i would do,  human nature says instant stop

What dangerous past times the young seem to amuse themselves with.
The stone throwing practice also happens in Perth from the overpasses across the motorways.
Who even thinks up such malicious past times, to the detriment, and possible loss of life of in victim vehicle, an any other innocent victims involved in the confusion or tragedy?
In Cairns they have a public service announcement which is actually very clever and even entertaining, advising people to stay out of pipes and drains, especially during the wet season.
This park butts up to just one of those drains, and the kids are forever playing in it. It became raging rapids after a storm, so they were surfing it on boogy boards, while a parent waiting by the bridge with a palm frond for them to grab hold of to get out. If they missed the palm frond they would have bashed into the bridge.
Where has commonsense and responsibility gone?
I give up and I'll avoid Taree.

Nobody is responsible anymore, it is always someone else's fault and common sense is no longer very common, in fact it would seem to be very rare indeed.

It appears that if you slow up or get out of the vehicle you not only put your life at risk but you could find yourself on foot trying to get the Fuzz to come out of their cave . The Fuzz are like blisters here they only come out after the work is done. Working in the NT my sun calls the reservation police the sunshine patrol as they only come out when it's all clear

The problem is when they do catch them in the act by the time the social workers and the civil liberties groups get through the magistrate has no option but to dismiss the charge and off the go.

In this latest Taree incident kids as young a 8-9 were involved in the actual brick throwing while the older group hide in the tree line. Taree Council along with the local police area commander have just spent weeks and bulk public monies on running education programs for this group , what a bloody waste of time.

the last feller that threw the rock on the southern expressway was I think 32, the boulder was approx 4 - 6 kilo's, (big lump of concrete) missed the driver directly by milimetres (cutting his scalp open on the way through),

there was no question of stopping or not stopping, the windscreen was on his lap and he needed hospitalisation, he ploughed in to the embankment
