weather

To us Nomads, ---wanderers,  we tend to forget that we live on a continent, and as such we regard the distances to be travelled in time not in miles, kilometre
we drive from the north to the south in just a coupla days, so the climatic change is not noticed unles it is really out of the ordinary as is the case now,
My son in Yarra valley is surrounded by fire, ---enough said----and I am here in central Queensland surrounded by water, we have had continous rain over one day and night recieving 12 inches in that time, this is the stuff that flooded Ingham twice before moving sw
Wonder where we go from here???

Don't come here if it's following you . Son in Darwin raining for many days straight everything has a fur coat and the building game has virtually shut down until it stops

I'm at Genoa, just at the turn-off to Mallacoota. It's raining and looks like it will rain all night and it is bloody FREEZING. Strange to think that 4 days ago and less than 100 kms north it was 44 degrees.

Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that I've just crossed into Victoria. I know what people say about Victorian weather, but it's supposed to be summer for cryin' out loud.

LOL...yeah changeable aint it?
I have one of those U Beaut electronic weather forcasters and it is more reliable than the Met beaureau, I guess because it is constantly updating...

Well, I'm still sitting here in Genoa because I simply refuse to travel in poor weather, it just depresses me. I pulled in here on the 11th (Wednesday) and here it is Saturday. It has been raining on and off all that time and I've been bundled up in a sweater. We had a couple of hours of sunshine through the clouds yesterday, but the in came the rain again.

I noticed that the rain stuffed up the cricket last night at the Gabba, so what's happening up the east coast? Rain all over or just here and there?

Todat it's not raining although it looks like it wants to, 100% cloud cover and no wind. At least it's not that cold today, 19deg at 11:00. I suppose I should look on the bright side, it's given me a chance to do some housework and catch up on my correspondence.

Grumble, grumble, whinge whinge

Mike
