well the lifestyle that we lead means that everything stays in the camper, we empty the fridge and take the clothes and bedding out but thats about all, we wash all the gear, bedding goes into the vac. bags and then back in the camper, clothes back to their draws, camper gets a wash down, water tank empty, a vaccuum out and probably an oil change and service before she retires to her living quarters, where any necesary repairs are carried out

a few days before her next trip, we start packing and checking the food items and fire up the fridge, check the gas bottle, top up the water tank, throw the clothes in, shop on the way somewhere and we are gone within probably half an hour of deciding to go, that night we could be 600 kms down the road, or we could just head for a couple of spots that we know of only a couple of hundred k's down the road for a weekend, we often do that

we dont take everything out and meticulously clean her to within an inch of her life, she doesnt like it and neither do I, we clean to a standard and that standard is kept up all along the trip, a quick sweep out and a dust is all thats required

fridge magnets, hell we gave up buying those things years ago, the car shed is wall to wall, floor to ceiling with them, started on spoons, took them out to the scrap metal recycler and got $85 for the weight of them,

ah cape york, land of the self delivering matching suitcases, big fishys and big liars!! great place to get lost in for a month or three, half your luck

cold of victoria, you should be here, we are in our 5 consecutive day of above 35 degs, we are looking forward to the cold

I hear ya Mike . Mine is the same everything must come out thank Christ the sink is fixed into position doesn't matter that we may be on the road in a weeks time it all comes out then we spend 4days and the night before we head out putting it all back in. Rather than debate the point of double handling I just lug it out and back even the dog hides under the pool table while this goes on.

If you get the chance take the OTL route it's worth the effort so long as your not in a rush I find mid year is the best for that part of the world

Having a CamperTrailer...all the perishables are in bins..they all come out..water jerry cans are emptied out..and dried out and stored away..not left on the CT...gas cylinders are checked..solar panel taken inside house....and a tarp placed over the CT ..mostly cause the birds mess on it. as its under the carport.....the waeco is emptied and cleaned and has a paper towel soaked in vanilla...placed in it with lid raised enough to air out...clothing is in a case in boot of car..the car is emptied...prob takes Us 45mins to clean up..put everything away after a trip.

Depends on what the weather is like on the last leg of the trip what needs doing when we are home. If things are dampish then the camper is semi erected in our garage to dry out properly. The removable tubs are checked and returned to the camper ready for next trip. fridge is cleaned and wiped with vanilla fridge spray and stored inside as our Engel gets used all the time ,even for day trips.our clothes are carried in the camper in tubs as well so they just get put away and empty tubs returned to the camper.
