Well that's it for me..no more spending hours over maps etc; to work on an itinerary. Is it just me, or do other travellers linger longer and look at most of the interesting sights and lag behind their schedule and never catch up? One day turns into one & a half and so on....... So for me, every day is a new surprise and doing what my heart fancies. Cheers all....looking forward to seeing faces to the names in here. Dennis
Tear up the itineries, go where your heart tells you. The hardest decision should be - do I turn right, left or go straight ahead. But then you might say "What the heck, I'll make that decision tomorrow.
Hi Dennis, Know what you mean about keeping schedules ... we certainly learned that the best schedule to have is no schedule. We spent the first few months of our trip rushing to every attraction listed at the tourist information centres and became quite stressed out as, ironically, we didn't seem to have any spare time! Now, we often stay in one place for a week or two - and don't feel at all guilty if we miss out on a couple of museums. Happy travels!
Are you traveling to do kilometers or to enjoy life? A glass of chardonnay, some good company and peace and quiet is really what you want. Tomorrow will look after itself.
