Suggest you amend your post heading to Moree.

There are at least three different caravan parks at Moree. We stayed at one being developed as an extension of the larger commercial one in town. No problems at all, good hot springs, good sites and amenities. Not many mature trees yet so no bird poo.

Boomi is only 92 km to the north east, up through Garah and turn right. Good thermal baths there and no birds, but a good idea to book. Ring the community store for bookings.

I've put it on my 'Places to Visit' list. Thanks Dave

We stayed at the Gwydir Thermal Pools caravan park in Moree last year, no issues at all with bird poop. The pools at that park are excellent. The sites though in the section we were are very small, basically if vans put their awnings out they ended up inches away from the next van, so getting into a site was hard too. Would probably go back but would avoid the North section where we were, its the closest to the pools but the sites seemed to be the smallest, probably because they were developed a long time ago when vans were generally smaller.

What's wrong with a bit of bird **** on your van? Get out in the Aussie bush, bird **** & all!
If you're worried about issues like that buy a high rise apartment in the city.
Bird **** on our van means that we've been somewhere interesting!
The same goes for mud & dust.

Cupie, there is no petrol available at Boomi, but there is a self serve diesel outlet, which is managed by the community store. Boomi is a lot quieter than Moree. My wife and I owned a house in Boomi for ten years, so we know the area pretty well!
Cheers

This might help ... Note No Petrol! Old posts so it might be worth checking for up to date info.
All the info you need on the following link including phone numbers but I would still check re Petrol availability ... though looks like diesel OK.
