That would be the continuous current whilst the motor is running. The half of that for the Engel would probably be the average over a day. What is the current drawn by an Engel whilst it is running.

It worked for me. The only thing wrong with your link is its presentation. Why don't you insert links the way the forum provides? Type in a link heading or copy and paste it from the page you are linking. Highlight the heading with the cursor (and don't use hot keys.) Hit the underline link ( U ) at the top. Then click on the chain link symbol to produce the box to copy the link into. Copy the link into that box and click on Update.

The 6A rating might be reflecting the maximum current draw. The power rating is 45W which works out at under 4A at 12V.
