Why do we need a Pure Sine Wave generator . . . .
(Preview)
Since a generator is connected to the house battery and the battery is normally situated between generator and loads (items using the power) why can't a much cheaper standard generator be used instead of the much more PSW (inverter) genny be used? I would think that the battery provides the power an...

Some 10 years ago I installed an SOG toilet ventilator onto the Thetford cassette standard in the van. It took about an hour, and was a bit expensive I thought but in retrspect it was one of the best additions I have made. Telstra's reduced coverage
(Preview)
Just returned home from four months in the "bush" and I think it pertinent to comment on the seemingly reduced fringe coverage in country areas. I presume this is as a result of the cessation of G3 but do not know if this is so. I have a CelFi amplifier and have made comment elsewhere that we were previo...

I've been using a handheld Uniden with a mag mount antenna on the roof for a while. The radio sits on the shelf above the sun visor and I have a handset on a velcro loop next to it. With all the recent discussion about avatars, I thought that I would change mine. Hope that the change works - It was a Cane toad that I lifted from an old Utube Video.
