This question is for Yobarr as you have assisted me with weights etc before but all feel free to dive in. Please all be patient and gentle with me in answering this question as I have already been abused and belittled on the Y62 Patrol Modified Action Site for exploring a simple question. Ok I have had my c...

No pric...

Safe camping
(Preview)
What are the checks you make prior to camping in an unknown area to ensure your safety and security of your equipment? I have recently discovered this site (Crime Rate) showing the crime rate for an area, although after checking some of the areas known to me, Im not 100% trusting of its accuracy. Howev...

Solar Panels on Car
(Preview)
Spotted this recently. Good idea when camped with canopy doors open, but minimal harvest when travelling, even with one panel on each side. No storage problems however, and unlikely to be "borrowed" if mounting bolts had lock-nuts inside. Cheers

Water tanks and connecting pipes emergency spares
(Preview)
I watched a You Tube caravanning video the other day and a caravan had lost the water connection point to the water tank. In the middle of nowhere of course! The connector had pulled out of the tank leaving a hole that drained all of the water out of one tank. This was not just a simple "replace the hose jo...

Where to dispose of grey water?
(Preview)
I have very great worries about the possible outcome that may well arise from the disposal of all grey water into the dump points. I wonder what thought has been given to the situation that will likely arise when all the RV and caravanner travellers all dump their 10 - 20 liters per day into the existing...

We have an old 2006 Windsor Genesis and the air con has gone, will cost approx $4000 I think to replace which is way to much for us and the age of the van. Does anyone know anything about the 2 portable air cons I mentioned above, maybe an option?
