We have a 2006 Ford Territory RWD(dual fuel) without a rig! Due to the economic downturn, our initial deposit on one of "them European vans" is now a pipe dream . Cannot reasonably justify spending over $55,000 when we can get a good, late model Aussie-made van with the extras we want for a lo...

Hi everyone, The Avan Ovation I pick up in two weeks has an 83-Amp Deep Cycle house battery with PROVISION for two house batteries. Is it better to have them put a second one in at the factory rather than have one fitted later should I need it? Would this increase my ability to be independent of power fo...

We are wanting to do the great ocean road in January and would like feedback on the availability of powered sites, if we can't book too far in advance and more importantly on the parks to stay and to avoid. 2 grey nomads no kids no pets. We are leaving Cairns mid December.

Hi, Have just started using the Telstra prepaid mobile internet thingy, which works a treat (in my Perth suburban home, at least). It's certainly an option for grey nomads. Yes, I know Telstra's not cheap, but it does work better than the others and this way you can top up like you do with a prepaid mobi...

Hi we are contemplating jumping off the roundabout and would love some feedback from folks out there and doing it as to the current status for work opportunities. Also whats the feeling with the 'recession', should we do it? I'm nervous about the whole thing.
