What brand and cc motorcycle

In the hilarious send up movie, "Hot Shots" Charlie Sheen rode what appeared to be a road trail motorcycle.

Anyone know what brand it was, and the size of the donk ? It's on google.

Pipes.

G'day Pipes,

You said it was on MrG so I checked and with another search he said it was a Honda Translap. Looks about a 250cc.

Honda Transalp is a pretty well proven bike....but prolly a bit big for you Pipes...at 650 cc.. They are an all roads tourer...with the reputation of good suspension ....a comfy seat ...plenty of get up and go ....and the usual Honda reliability....but a tad on the heavy side.

Another one worthy of consideration is the Kawasaki KLE 500 twin....much the same as the Transalp ....but lighter and more nimble...with a reputation of being fairly long lasting. I have had a few models of either brand....and I rate each as good as the other overall. However parts and service is maybe a bit cheaper for the Kawasaki ...plus it would be a cheaper bike to buy. The trick of course is to pick up a good one.

I have a M8 who has Suzuki DR 400s and 250s as ag bikes...and he reckons you cant kill them with an axe. I have ridden them ...and their motors are up there with the best ....damn S**t hot suspension...but oh that seat....like sitting on a plank !!. Not good for this blokes old bones hey.

Your call of course....check out all of them I reckon....coz they all do all roads better than just a ridgy didge road bike ..IMO.

Cheers  Keith
